Product Introduction

POTOP Multifunctional Modular Workstation for Polymer Materials is an independently developed modular integrated experimental platform by POTOP Co., Ltd. With the central main control unit as the core, it can be freely combined with torque mixing module, capillary rheology module, casting forming module, and blown film forming module, realizing an efficient R&D mode of "one main unit, multi-module expansion, and full-process experiments".

The equipment integrates core functions such as material blending, plasticization, rheological characterization, film forming, and process parameter optimization. It is suitable for basic research and product development of polymer materials such as plastics, rubbers, elastomers, composite materials, and biodegradable materials, and is widely used in universities, research institutes, enterprise R&D centers, and quality inspection institutions.

System Composition and Module Functions
●Main Measurement and Control Module

Function Positioning: The control center, data collection and processing center of the entire workstation, which uniformly drives and manages all modules. It is equipped with a high-performance servo motor and drive system, with a speed range of 0–360rpm, stable torque output, and high speed regulation accuracy.


●Torque Mixing Module

Measures material plasticization curves, torque-time curves, equilibrium torque, plasticization time, and thermal stability.

Mixing and Blending: 55/200/300mL mixing chamber simulates the actual processing shear environment to prepare blended samples.

Application: Formula R&D, raw material inspection, PVC plasticization testing, thermal/shear stability evaluation, and color masterbatch dispersibility detection.

 

●Capillary Rheology Module

Tests apparent/true viscosity, shear rate/shear stress relationship, extrusion swelling behavior, and flow stability.

Simulates the extrusion processing flow field to evaluate material extrudability and process window.

Die Configuration: Multiple length-diameter ratios (10/20/30/40), diameters (1mm/2mm), and optional slit dies.

 

●Casting Forming Module

Integrated process of extrusion → casting → cooling → traction → edge trimming → winding, producing precision cast films of 0.01–1mm.

Application: R&D of optical films, photovoltaic films, lithium battery separators, packaging films, biodegradable films, and functional coating films.

 

●Blown Film Module

Process of extrusion → blowing → cooling → traction → winding, producing blown films such as PE/PP/PA/EVA/PLA.

Tests blow-up ratio, draw ratio, film uniformity, crystal points/fish eyes, and mechanical properties.

Application: Packaging films, agricultural films, functional films, color masterbatch dispersion, and new material blown film processes.

 

●Twin/Single Screw Extruder Module

Efficiently completes experiments such as material blending, filling, reinforcement, modification, and biodegradable materials, with excellent shear dispersion effect and high mixing uniformity.

Precision metering extrusion, which can be connected to casting and blown film modules for forming, or used for formula R&D and process optimization of special materials.
