Filter Pressure Value Tester consists of a single-screw extrusion system, a melt pump, a screen changer, and a computer measurement and control system. By measuring the pressure difference (FPV value) of the melt before and after passing through the filter screen, it accurately quantifies the dispersion effect of colorants and fillers in color masterbatches and filled masterbatches — the smaller the FPV value, the better the dispersion.
Filtration pressure value tester is to flow the polymer base mixture containing a certain concentration of pigment through the extruder equipped with a melt pump and a filter screen assembly supported by a porous plate, there is a melt pressure transducer installed at the front end of the filter screen assembly.The maximum difference between the initial pressure (test base material) and the pressure measured by the sensor before the filter assembly after the melt pump is the filter pressure value (FPV). Using its size to characterize the dispersion effect of the masterbatch, the smaller the FPV value, the better the dispersion.
